The 1975 beat KSI to albums number one

The 1975 win the battle with KSI to claim this week's UK number one album.

The 1975 have triumphed in their week-long chart battle with KSI to claim top spot in the UK albums chart.

The guitar group's Notes On A Conditional Form registered 34,000 chart sales over the last week, with 71% of that total coming from physical sales, including 7,000 on vinyl, according to data from the Official Charts Company.

YouTuber-turned rapper KSI, meanwhile, has to settle for second spot after 27,000 sales of debut Dissimulation, of which 70% came from streaming.

In the singles chart, Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande open at number one with 'Rain On Me' after 70,000 sales, usurping DaBaby's 'Rockstar' ft. Roddy Ricch. The feat marks the first time that a Gaga single has debuted at the top spot of the UK chart.

KSI has three singles in the top 40 this week, led by 'Houdini' at 15, with 'Cap' following at 24 and 'Killa Killa' in at 27.
