Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has suggested that Santi Cazorla may not play for the club again this season.
The Spanish playmaker has been sidelined since late November with a knee ligament injury.
His recovery from that complaint is on schedule, but Wenger has revealed that Cazorla has since suffered an Achilles problem that means he may not be ready to return in April.
"Santi is not doing too well. He has some Achilles problems that hold him back," the Arsenal boss told reporters.
"His knee is doing well but his Achilles has inflamed a little bit and we have to put him off impact [training]. It has been a reaction to coming back.
"A return in April? We have to see now how he responds. He always had a little tendinitis in his Achilles and we have to see how he responds to that."
Wenger also admitted that midfielder Jack Wilshere, who is in rehabilitation for his broken leg, is also at least four weeks away from resuming playing duties.
