Alex Iwobi agrees new Arsenal contract?

Alex Iwobi reportedly signs a two-year contract extension with Arsenal following his recent promotion into the first-team setup.

Arsenal have reportedly handed Alex Iwobi an improved contract.

The young striker only agreed to fresh terms last October, which tied him to the Emirates Stadium until 2019.

However, his development into a first-term regular over recent weeks has prompted the Gunners to offer up a new deal, according to The Mirror.

The report adds that the two-year extension will see the Nigeria international pocket around £30,000 a week.

Nineteen-year-old Iwobi has scored two goals from his eight appearances in all competitions this term.
