Everton forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin has reportedly remained as a transfer target for Arsenal.
The England international was linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium earlier this year without a deal ever coming close to fruition.
However, according to the Daily Mail, the Gunners have identified the 24-year-old as one of their preferred replacements for Alexandre Lacazette.
With less than seven months remaining on his contract, Lacazette will likely depart for a cut-price fee in January or on a free transfer at the end of the season.
That has led to Arsenal retaining an interest in Calvert-Lewin, although it is claimed that the North Londoners will need to meet Everton's £60m asking price.
While the Toffees hierarchy are in no rush to sell, parting ways with Calvert-Lewin, who has a contract until 2025, would boost their efforts to strengthen other areas of the squad.
