Mesut Ozil 'to say Arsenal goodbyes on Sunday'

Arsenal attacker Mesut Ozil will reportedly say goodbye to his teammates on Sunday ahead of a move to Fenerbahce.

Arsenal attacker Mesut Ozil will reportedly say goodbye to his teammates on Sunday as the former Germany international prepares to leave the Emirates Stadium on a free transfer.

Ozil is believed to have reached an agreement with the Gunners to end his contract this month, and he is expected to travel to Turkey in the coming days to complete a move to Fenerbahce.

According to The Sun, the 32-year-old, who has not played for Mikel Arteta's side since March, will say goodbye to his teammates at the club's London Colney training ground on Sunday.

Ozil signed a £350,000-a-week contract at the Emirates Stadium in 2018, and the report claims that the attacker is giving up 'a portion' of his salary in order to depart 'on good terms'.

The World Cup winner joined the Gunners from Real Madrid in 2013 and will leave having contributed 44 goals and 77 assists in 254 appearances in all competitions.

DC United have also been strongly linked with the attacker, but Fenerbahce sporting director Emre Belozoglu recently hinted that a move to Turkey was close to being completed.
