Neymar: 'I am not Pele'

Barcelona forward Neymar claims that he does not deserve to be likened to former Brazil international Pele.

Barcelona forward Neymar has said that he does not deserve to be likened to former Brazil international Pele, who is widely regarded as one of the best footballers of all time.

Both players came through the ranks at Santos, while Neymar will be the focal point for Brazil at the World Cup this summer, as was the case for Pele throughout his international career.

"For me it is a pleasure to be compared to a great player like Pele," he told the Wall Street Journal.

"But he is the king of football. I am just a boy who wants to play football."

Neymar, 22, has scored 30 times in 47 games for his country.
