Burnley have made an improved offer for Derby County midfielder Jeff Hendrick, according to a report.
The Rams are thought to have already rejected one bid of up to £2.5m from the Premier League outfit.
However, the Burnley Express claims that Sean Dyche has returned for the 24-year-old and has made a second approach for a slightly higher price.
It is suggested in the same report that the Clarets are once more expected to fall short, though, as County attempt to hold off potential suitors for the Republic of Ireland Euro 2016 star.
Burnley have reportedly also had a £4m bid for Brighton & Hove Albion's Dale Stephens rejected this summer, while a £900,000 approach for Charlton Athletic goalkeeper Nick Pope was also knocked back.
