Eden Hazard's record vs. Liverpool

Sports Mole takes a closer look at Eden Hazard's record in games against Liverpool ahead of Sunday's clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea welcome Liverpool to Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon aiming to keep their top-four aspirations alive.

The Blues are running out of time to overhaul either Tottenham Hotspur or the Reds, sitting five and six points back respectively with three game of their season left to play.

Defeat for Chelsea this weekend will likely spell the end of their league campaign, meaning that Antonio Conte will go with a full-strength XI two weeks before the FA Cup final showdown with Manchester United.

Among the starters will likely be Eden Hazard, who has an underwhelming scoring return against this weekend's opponents.

Here, Sports Mole looks at the Belgian forward's record in past meetings with Liverpool.

Hazard vs. Liverpool

Prior to joining Chelsea in 2012, Hazard faced off against Liverpool twice in the Europa League while at Lille, scoring once in a 3-1 aggregate defeat for his side in the last 16.

Two goals would follow in his first three Premier League encounters with the Reds, including a bullet strike in the 2-1 win in December 2013.

Since then, though, the 27-year-old has netted just twice in nine meetings overall - one of those coming in an EFL Cup semi-final tie three years ago - and chipped in with one assist.

The most recent of those strikes came in a 1-1 draw during the 2015-16 campaign, tucking the ball home at the end of a dazzling run.
