Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino has claimed that Didier Drogba can still be effective following his return to the club.
The 36-year-old, who spent the second half of last season with Galatasaray, signed a one-year contract at Stamford Bridge on Friday.
Despite doubts over whether the veteran can still handle life in the Premier League, Cascarino believes that Drogba has plenty to offer Chelsea.
"You might only get [20 to 30 minutes per game] from him, but I think he'll be very effective," he told talkSPORT.
"Certain matches can be won in the last 20 minutes, and certain players can have a big impact and effect on the team. Jose [Mourinho] looks at Didier and thinks that's what his job will be."
Drogba scored 157 goals for Chelsea during his initial eight-year spell with the club.
