Alessandro Pellegrini - the agent of Maurizio Sarri - dismisses suggestions that the Italian could replace Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge.

The agent of Maurizio Sarri has seemingly dismissed suggestions that the former Napoli boss could replace Antonio Conte at Chelsea.

For a number of weeks, Sarri has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge after parting ways with Napoli, but Chelsea have allegedly begun to consider other options due to the 59-year-old's controversial behaviour in the past.

Sarri also remains under the conditions of his previous contract with Napoli, and representative Alessandro Pellegrini has appeared to mock Sarri's existing ties with the Serie A giants.

Pellegrini told Sportitalia: "I don't know who Chelsea are, are they a football club? We only know about Napoli."

Chelsea did have the option of activating a £7m release clause in Sarri's contract but that expired on Thursday.
