Everton are reportedly 'in advanced talks' with Inter Milan over a potential move for Matias Vecino.
The 28-year-old, who is also thought to be interesting Manchester United, has scored twice and registered one assist in 17 appearances for Antonio Conte's side during the 2019-20 campaign.
The Uruguay international continues to be linked with a move away from San Siro, though, and according to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, Everton are locked in talks with Inter.
Schira claims that the Toffees have offered £12.7m for the midfielder, but the Serie A giants are looking for a figure in the region of £16.9m before sanctioning his departure.
Carlo Ancelotti's side allegedly already have a contract waiting for the South American, who represented Fiorentina for four years before completing a move to Inter in 2017.
Everton have also been linked with Juventus's Emre Can and Southampton's Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg as the club seemingly prepares to sign a new central midfielder before the January transfer window closes for business.
