Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner: 'I have final say on January transfers'

Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner says that he will have the final say on incomings and outgoings during the January transfer window.

Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner has insisted that no players will leave the John Smith's Stadium in January without his permission.

After 18 matches in their first-ever Premier League campaign, Huddersfield sit in 11th position in the standings and six points above the relegation zone.

The Terriers will likely do business at the start of 2018, but Wagner has said that he will have the final say on which players feature in his squad until the end of the season.

The 46-year-old told reporters: "I can make it totally clear that I have spoken to Dean Hoyle, our chairman, and no player will leave our club if I don't want to send him out on loan or sell him. There will be no outgoings without my permission."

Huddersfield are said to hold an interest in Liverpool's Ben Woodburn, while Rajiv van La Parra has been linked with a transfer to West Bromwich Albion.
