Javier Zanetti hopes for Andrea Stramaccioni stay

Inter Milan captain Javier Zanetti hopes that interim coach Andrea Stramaccioni can stay at the San Siro beyond the end of the season.

Inter Milan captain Javier Zanetti has claimed that Andrea Stramaccioni should be given the manager's job at the San Siro on a full-time basis.

Stramaccioni, who entered the job with no previous top-flight coaching experience, was appointed on an interim basis in March following the sacking of Claudio Ranieri.

However, the Nerazzuri are still unbeaten under their new boss and Zanetti hopes that their resurgence can continue under his guidance.

"He's good, he came in and was humble and honest from the start," he said. "He has very clear ideas, he likes a certain brand of football and we've all bought into it.

"Hopefully we'll be able to end the season as best we can and Andrea can continue. These months will just be the start of a long coaching career for him.

"It's true that he doesn't have much experience working with first teams, but from day one he came across as a talented coach. He's careful about all the small details and he's very galvanising."

Inter, who are currently seventh in the Serie A table, take on Fiorentina on Sunday.
