Arsene Wenger hails "special" Leicester City

Arsene Wenger admits that he is surprised by Leicester City's good form after the Foxes moved to the summit of the Premier League at the weekend.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said that there is "something special" about Leicester City, following their impressive start to the season.

The Foxes have continued their fine form that saw them avoid relegation in the last campaign, and a 3-0 win over Newcastle United at the weekend moved Claudio Ranieri's side to the top of the Premier League.

"It is a surprise," he is quoted as saying by Arsenal's official website. "Leicester fought not to go down last season but they won their last seven games.

"When we played against them last season at Emirates Stadium we came to the conclusion there is something special in this team already so overall they surprised everybody and congratulations to them."

Arsenal's 5-2 victory over Leicester in September is the only league defeat that the Foxes have suffered this season.
