Wes Morgan: 'Leicester City deserve to be top'

Leicester City captain Wes Morgan insists that the team deserves to be at the top of the Premier League table.

Wes Morgan has insisted that Leicester City deserve to be at the top of the Premier League table 15 matches into the 2015-16 season.

The Foxes sit two points clear of Arsenal at the top of the standings ahead of their match against reigning champions Chelsea on Monday.

The club's captain told the team's website: "Just to say that, it's amazing. We've done well so far and I'm sure everyone's surprised that we're actually there, but I think we definitely deserve to be there.

"We've played some fantastic stuff this season and we just want to keep the run going. We don't want to get too carried away, but at the same time we need to enjoy what we've achieved so far.

"Things are going very well, but we know how easily they can change. We just want to stay grounded, stay confident and keep playing well. How far can we get? Who knows."

The Foxes have lost just once in the league so far this season.
