Liverpool have submitted an offer for Lazio midfielder Lucas Biglia, according to reports.
The Argentina international has impressed during 10 matches this season, after being given the captain's armband in the summer.
Real Madrid and Inter Milan are also thought to be interested in the 29-year-old, but Gazzetto dello Sport claims that the Reds are the only club to have made a formal bid so far.
Liverpool's offer has been described as "enticing", with Lazio reportedly valuing the player at £21m.
Jurgen Klopp is believed to have been interested in signing Biglia during his time at Borussia Dortmund.
