Manchester City's Manuel Pellegrini: 'We can beat anyone'

Manuel Pellegrini believes that Manchester City are strong enough to beat any team in the Champions League.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini believes that no side would want to face them in the last 16 of the Champions League this season.

The Citizens booked their place in the knockout stages of Europe's premier club competition with a 5-2 home win against CSKA Moscow on Tuesday.

"I think so - but it is level so any team can beat us also," he told reporters when asked if City can overcome any side.

"I'm sure the team we will play against [in the next round] will not be very happy to play against us."

City are currently second in Group D with nine points from four matches.
