Wilfried Bony has insisted that he and his Manchester City teammates are not getting carried away after their impressive start to the new Premier League season.
City swept aside West Bromwich Albion on the opening day of the season with a 3-0 victory, only for the former champions to repeat the scoreline when they met Chelsea in last weekend's match at the Etihad stadium.
Despite the two wins, the Ivory Coast striker revealed that everyone is remaining grounded and says that their pre-season hard work is paying off.
"It has been a great start for the club. We deserve it, we worked very hard and have started very well, so we are happy about that," the former Swansea City forward told Sky Sports News.
"The team are working hard, the balance is very good and there is also a great rhythm. We are happy about that and we want to continue like this.
"Now we are going to take the games step by step. We are a team that wants to play football so we always want the ball. We want to score a lot of goals, but every game is not the same. We just have to take each game seriously and concentrate 100% and try to win, that's the most important thing."
City take on Everton this Sunday at Goodison Park.
