A report claims that the Manchester City squad now believe an end-of-season exit for Sergio Aguero and Fernandinho is inevitable.

Manchester City's players have reportedly accepted that long-serving duo Sergio Aguero and Fernandinho will leave the club at the end of the season.

The pair, who have been at the Etihad Stadium for a combined 18 years, are both due to be out of contract in July.

Fernandinho's agent recently confirmed that he has offers on the table from other clubs, while Aguero has been linked with Inter Milan, Barcelona, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.

According to The Athletic, it is now looking increasingly likely that both players will move on in the coming months.

The report suggests that the City squad have already come to terms with Aguero's and Fernandinho's imminent departures, leaving a massive void to be filled in the dressing room.

The Citizens are expected to act quickly to bring in replacements, with Inter striker Romelu Lukaku and Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland rumoured to be on Pep Guardiola's list of targets.
