Sunderland will reportedly turn their attentions to Victor Moses if they fail to secure the loan signing of Adam Johnson from Manchester City.
England winger Johnson is believed to be the number one target of Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill this summer.
However, doubts remain as to whether the Black Cats would be able to take on Johnson's wages.
As a result, O'Neill is keeping tabs on Moses's situation at Wigan Athletic, according to The People.
Moses is said to be eager to leave the DW Stadium for a club that does not fight against relegation on a regular basis.
