England defender Rio Ferdinand reveals that he could still return to the international fold.

Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has failed to rule out a return to the England squad despite his Euro 2012 snub.

It was widely expected that the 33-year-old's international future was over after he was left out of Roy Hodgson's squad for this summer, but he has revealed that he still wants to represent his country.

"My answer is the same as last season. Manchester United is at the forefront of my mind, it is my club and if anything else comes of it then so be it," he told reporters.

Ferdinand has won 81 caps for his country.
