Mohamed Salah overtakes Didier Drogba as the top-scoring African player in Premier League history, moving level with Paul Scholes courtesy of his hat-trick at Old Trafford.

Mohamed Salah has overtaken Chelsea legend Didier Drogba as the top-scoring African player in Premier League history.

The Liverpool forward helped himself to a hat-trick during his side's 5-0 hammering of Manchester United on Sunday, taking his tally for the season to 10 Premier League goals in just nine games.

In the process, Salah became the first player in Premier League history to score a hat-trick against Manchester United at Old Trafford, also moving above Drogba and Darren Bent in the list of all-time goalscorers in the competition.

The Egyptian is now level with Man United legend Paul Scholes on 107 Premier League strikes, one behind Peter Crouch and just two adrift of Ryan Giggs.

Here, Sports Mole looks at the latest standings in the Premier League 100 club after Salah's exploits.
