Ben Amos has admitted that he had no hesitation in joining Championship Hull City on a season-long loan deal from Manchester United.
The 22-year-old goalkeeper has managed to make just seven senior appearances for the Red Devils since signing professional forms in 2008.
With that in mind, the former England youth international admitted that he had to make the switch to the KC Stadium for the good of his career.
"I knew in my head that I needed to play games this season and Hull is a great opportunity," he said. "It was Eric Steele, the goalkeeping coach at United, who made me aware that Hull were interested in me.
"He and my agent put it forward to me and straight away I was enthusiastic to make sure it happened.
"I've stayed patient at United for a couple of years now but the chances haven't really come around so far. Hopefully, a big season here can change that."
Amos has also had loan spells with Peterborough United, Molde and Oldham Athletic.
