Robin van Persie collects the Barclays Golden Boot for scoring 26 goals over the course of Manchester United's Premier League-winning season.

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has picked up the Barclays Golden Boot award for the second consecutive year.

The Netherlands international scooped the honour following his side's Premier League-winning campaign by netting 26 goals.

The Dutchman beat Liverpool striker Luis Suarez, who managed 23 goals before ending his season early due to a 10-match ban for biting, as well as Tottenham Hotspur star Gareth Bale, who found the net 21 times.

Van Persie was given the award last season following his 30-goal haul as an Arsenal player.
