Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirms that Cristiano Ronaldo will make his second debut for the club against Newcastle United.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo will make his second debut for the club in Saturday afternoon's Premier League clash with Newcastle United.

The Portugal international, who re-signed for the club from Juventus in the final stages of the summer transfer window, has been training alongside his new teammates this week.

Solskjaer, during Friday's pre-match press conference, said that the 36-year-old would be on the field at some stage of the clash with the Magpies but refused to guarantee that the attacker would start.

"He's had a good week with us here. He'll definitely be on the pitch at some point, that's for sure," Manchester Evening News journalist Samuel Luckhurst quotes the Man United boss as saying.

"Everyone is very happy to have him back, the mood has been very good. We are looking forward to Saturday of course," Solskjaer added when questioned on the Portuguese.

Ronaldo scored 118 goals in 292 appearances during his first spell at Old Trafford between 2003 and 2009 and has since turned out for both Real Madrid and Juventus.
