Arsenal have reportedly expressed interest in striking a deal for Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng this month.
The 31-year-old, who was approached by Manchester United in 2018, is said to be keen on securing a move away from the Allianz Arena.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is determined to strike a deal for another central defender following a poor run of form at the back for the Gunners this season.
According to Sky Sports News, Arsenal have expressed an interest in securing Boateng, who would be available for a fee of £12m.
However, the North London club are unlikely to do any business this winter having already splashed out £27m for Saint-Etienne defender William Saliba, who will move to the Emirates over the summer.
