Arsenal reportedly ask Real Madrid whether they have any interest in signing forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang during the next transfer window.

Arsenal have reportedly asked Real Madrid whether they would like to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

With just over a year remaining on his contract, Aubameyang has been heavily linked with an exit from the Emirates Stadium during the next transfer window.

Although the Gunners would like the Gabon international to pen a new contract, there is said to be an acceptance that the 30-year-old will not extend his terms if the club do not qualify for next season's Champions League.

While Aubameyang has been linked with Barcelona and Manchester United, Diario Madridista claims that Real have been offered the chance to begin negotiations for the attacker.

The report suggests that Arsenal would prefer to sell to a Spanish side than allow one of their domestic rivals to sign their most valuable player.

Aubameyang has contributed 61 goals from 97 appearances in all competitions, which includes 45 strikes in the Premier League.
