Agent Mino Raiola has confirmed that Ajax captain Matthijs de Ligt has agreed personal terms with Juventus.
The Netherlands international is arguably the summer transfer window's most in-demand player after being linked with Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Juventus.
United and Barcelona are both believed to have agreed a fee with Ajax, but Juventus have been reluctant to pay the full amount.
De Ligt is determined to join the Italian champions, however, and he is now waiting for the two clubs to come to an amicable solution.
"Matthijs has agreed personal terms with Juve," Raiola told Dutch paper De Telegraaf. "We're waiting for them to complete the agreement with Ajax soon.
"An arbitration case is out of the question for us. I advised Matthijs [on this], because it does not suit his style.
"The player only hopes that Juventus and Ajax will show the will to get out and that the deal is completed quickly."
Sky Sport Italia reports that Juventus have so far offered to pay Ajax £49.3m, plus £9m in bonuses, which is still some way short of Ajax's £67.3m valuation.
