Report: Rio Ferdinand linked with move to MLS

Rio Ferdinand is a transfer target for clubs in America, according to a report.

Rio Ferdinand is a target for clubs in the MLS, with his future at Manchester United unresolved, a report claims.

The defender's one-year contract is only months away from completion and the Red Devils are not yet committed to offering him an extension, The Mirror says.

Ferdinand reportedly also has the option of retiring to become a full-time pundit for BT Sport, if he decides against a move to America.

The former England international, 35, has been at Old Trafford since 2002.
