Manchester United minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is reportedly keen on keeping Marcus Rashford at the club, amid interest from Paris-Saint Germain and Real Madrid.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe has reportedly expressed his desire to keep Marcus Rashford at Manchester United, despite links to Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.

The 26-year-old has failed to hit the heights of his 2022-23 campaign but is still a key first-team player for Erik ten Hag on the red side of Manchester.

Rashford has appeared 24 times in the Premier League, scoring five goals and providing two assists as the Red Devils look to chase down Champions League qualification.

Four-straight top-flight wins have boosted Man United back into the top-four conversation, with the Old Trafford club now just five points behind Unai Emery's Aston Villa in fourth.

According to Football Insider, Manchester United's new minority owner and INEOS chief Ratcliffe is keen to keep Rashford at the club past the conclusion of this season.

The report claims that the 71-year-old and other executives for the Red Devils 'know what Rashford can do at his best' following a productive last season.

Rashford bagged 30 goals in 56 appearances across all competitions during Ten Hag's maiden term in charge, netting 17 in the Premier League as United secured Champions League football.

Following such impressive performances on the pitch, Rashford earned a new contract at Old Trafford in 2023 that increased his weekly salary to a reported £325,000.

It is understood that INEOS boss Ratcliffe is hoping to retain the services of the attacker in the summer despite supposed interest from PSG.

The Ligue 1 champions have allegedly identified the Englishman as a direct replacement for Kylian Mbappe, who looks destined to end up at Real Madrid next season.

On the other hand, it has also been suggested that Carlo Ancelotti's side are plotting a cash-plus-player offer for Rashford, who could unite with international teammate Jude Bellingham at the Bernabeu.

With the 26-year-old's bumper terms at Old Trafford expiring in June 2028, it is believed that it would take a seismic offer for Man United to offload their academy graduate.

Despite being admired by the Red Devils' new ownership, Rashford made the headlines for an off-field issue in January, when he missed training after spending a night partying with friends in Belfast.

Ten Hag - always ready to discipline his players regardless of profile - left the forward out of United's 4-2 win over Newport County in the FA Cup as a punishment.

Rashford returned to the side and scoresheet on February 1 against Wolverhampton Wanderers, and has since started three further wins for United in the Premier League.
