Newcastle United prepare move for Saido Berahino?

Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino this summer.

Steve McClaren has reportedly added West Bromwich Albion's Saido Berahino to his list of targets as Newcastle United prepare for a potentially busy summer in the transfer market.

The Magpies are expected to invest heavily in the squad after appointing McClaren earlier this week, and signing a striker is expected to be a priority.

Queens Park Rangers forward Charlie Austin has been linked with a move, but The Mirror claims that McClaren is also interested in Berahino.

Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur were rumoured to be interested in the England Under-21 international, who scored 20 goals in all competitions last season.

The report suggests that Newcastle would be eager to sign both forwards, but the Baggies are likely to demand £20m for Berahino.

Newcastle are also reportedly eager to sign Tom Ince from Hull City.
