St Etienne 2-3 Nice

Nice have climbed out of the Ligue 1 relegation zone after twice coming from behind to earn a dramatic victory over Saint-Etienne at Stade Geoffroy-Guichard.

The Europe-chasing hosts opened the scoring on 22 minutes with a long-range effort from Max Gradel.

Les Verts led 2-1 at half time after Sylvain Marchal's 42nd-minute bullet header had atoned for the sloppy defending that led to Anthony Mounier's counter-attacking equaliser.

Nice were transformed after half time and produced a brilliant 45 minutes of passing football, although both of their goals came from corner kicks.

Mounier stooped to net his second of the evening and level the scores 11 minutes after the break, before Francois Clerc slammed home from all of three yards in the 89th minute to secure Nice's first win in four games.
