Alex Neil: 'Norwich City players executed perfect gameplan'

Norwich City boss Alex Neil says that his players executed the perfect gameplan as they ran out 2-0 winners away at Everton in the EFL Cup.

Norwich City manager Alex Neil has said that each of his players was "fantastic" as the Canaries earned a surprise 2-0 win away at Everton in the EFL Cup.

Goals from former Toffees player Steven Naismith and Josh Murphy gave the Championship outfit an impressive victory at Goodison Park, and Neil has praised his team for executing his gameplan on Merseyside.

The 35-year-old is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "To a man, everyone was fantastic. They gave everything.

"We wanted to win the game. We came with a method which the players carried out perfectly."

Norwich were relegated from the Premier League last season but they currently sit in second place in the Championship standings.
