Police investigate claims that a racist gesture was made towards Sebastien Bassong during Norwich's win at Swansea on Saturday.

Police have opened an investigation into an alleged racist gesture aimed at Sebastien Bassong during Norwich City's win at Swansea City on Saturday.

The Norwich defender reported the incident to referee Howard Webb at the Liberty Stadium.

"Credit to Swansea City Football Club, I think they have identified the individual and that is now in the hands of the right authorities," Canaries manager Chris Hughton told Sky Sports News.

Bassong scored his side's third goal against the Swans as they stretched their unbeaten run to nine games.
