Norwich City manager Chris Hughton has admitted that he is interested in signing Sporting Lisbon striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel.
The Canaries have made it clear that they are in need of another forward, with Jamie Mackie, Danny Graham and Gary Hooper all names linked with a move to Carrow Road.
However, they have now appeared to have turned their attention to the Dutchman and are rumoured to have already seen a £7m bid for the 24-year-old rejected, with Sporting keen on receiving £12m for the player.
Despite his expensive price tag, Hughton admits that his side are exploring the possibilities of signing Van Wolfswinkel.
"Yes, I have seen those reports on him and there is an interest from ourselves but how far that interest has gone from us I don't know," said Hughton.
"But certainly there is an interest."
