New Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp is considering a January move for Nicolas Anelka, according to reports.
It is thought that Redknapp will be given £10 million to spend in the transfer window, but will be asked to bring in loan deals.
The former Tottenham Hotspur manager is looking to boost his forward options after injuries to Andrew Johnson and Bobby Zamora have left Djibril Cisse as the only recognised striker at Loftus Road.
Now, according to the Daily Mail, former Chelsea striker Anelka has been identified as a loan target.
The 33-year-old is currently plying his trade for Chinese side Shanghai Shenua, though could become available temporarily in January once the Chinese Super League season has ended.
It is understood that Anelka would be keen on a return to the Premier League after reports speculated that he is unhappy in China.
QPR will be hoping to sign the Frenchman until the end of the season, though an agreement would have to be made in regards to the player's £250,000-per-week wages.
