Carlo Ancelotti: 'Gareth Bale fit for Atletico Madrid clash'

Real Madrid attacker Gareth Bale is passed fit for Tuesday's Champions League quarter-final first leg against Atletico Madrid.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that Gareth Bale is fit to face Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday.

The Welshman missed Los Blancos' 3-0 La Liga win over Eibar on Saturday and had emerged as a doubt for the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final at the Vicente Calderon.

However, Ancelotti has confirmed that the 25-year-old is available for what is a repeat of last season's European Cup final.

"Bale is in good condition. The whole squad is available and tomorrow I will give the starting 11," Ancelotti told reporters.

Real Madrid are bidding to become the first team in the modern era to successfully defend the Champions League.
