Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo wants to finish career at "top level", not USA

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo insists that he wants to finish his playing career at the "top level" rather than move to the USA or the Middle East.

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has insisted that he wants to end his career at the highest level as opposed to moving to a club in the United States or the Middle East.

The 30-year-old has won 16 club trophies in his career so far during spells at Manchester United and Madrid.

The Portugal captain has also been officially named the best player in the world three times.

While Ronaldo believes that he has many years left on the pitch, the prolific star has no intention of switching to less established leagues overseas.

During an interview on The Jonathan Ross Show, Ronaldo said: "In my mind I want to finish in the top level, I want to finish with dignity so in a good club. It doesn't mean that to go USA or Qatar or Dubai is not good but I don't see myself [there]."

Ronaldo has regularly been linked with a return to United, while Paris Saint-Germain have also been touted as a possible destination, but the footballer continues to publicly claim that he is happy at Madrid.
