Roma coach Zdenek Zeman insists that he will not resign following Friday's 4-2 defeat at home to Cagliari Calcio in Serie A.

Roma coach Zdenek Zeman has insisted that he will not resign following his side's 4-2 defeat at home to Cagliari Calcio in Serie A on Friday.

The Giallorossi are now nine points off the Champions League places after their ninth loss of the season.

"I won't resign because of one bad game," Zeman told Sky Sport Italia. "I have not spoken with anyone from the board, but they will ultimately make the final decision."

Roma are back in action next Sunday when they travel to Sampdoria in the league.
