Dejan Lovren returns to Southampton training

Southampton defender Dejan Lovren links up with the squad after returning from the World Cup despite expressing his interest in leaving St Mary's this summer.

Dejan Lovren has returned to training with Southampton despite expressing his desire to leave the club during this summer's transfer window.

Liverpool have reportedly had a bid turned down for the defender, while manager Ronald Koeman has insisted that the club will not be looking to sell any more players before the start of the new season.

However, the Croatia international joined up with the rest of his teammates in Belgium for their pre-season tour, having been given an extended break following his involvement in the World Cup.


Lovren joined Southampton from Lyon last summer.
