Inter Milan midfielder Esteban Cambiasso feels that his side bowed out of the Europa League with dignity against Tottenham Hotspur.
Andrea Stramaccioni's side crashed out of the competition despite beating Spurs 4-1 at the San Siro last night, as Emmanuel Adebayor scored a crucial away goal for Andre Villas-Boas's side.
Cambiasso told UEFA.com: "Our performance was great from every point of view. We're sad to exit the competition, but we lost with dignity.
"I had a chance to score our fourth goal in the dying seconds of the second half, but it's not something I regret.
"It's not about a single chance to write history, it's about everything that happens throughout the match. I would be much more bothered had our performance been disappointing."
The draw for the quarter-finals of the Europa League will be made later today.
