Lennon nearing training return
Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas reveals that winger Aaron Lennon will return to full first-team training next week after recovering from his foot injury.

Manager Andre Villas-Boas has revealed that Aaron Lennon is poised to return to Tottenham Hotspur training next week following his foot injury.

The 26-year-old has not featured for Spurs since their Premier League opener against Crystal Palace, with Andros Townsend impressing in his usual right-wing position during his absence.

Although he will undergo a fitness test before Tottenham's London derby against Chelsea, Villas-Boas has indicated that Lennon will likely have to wait until next week before resuming first-team sessions.

"He is due to come back hopefully tomorrow [Friday] to training," Villas-Boas told reporters. "He is making great progress and we should see him back to first team training next week."

Lennon scored four goals in 44 appearances across all competitions for the Lillywhites last season.
