How Tottenham Hotspur could line up against Everton

Ahead of the game between Tottenham Hotspur and Everton on Sunday afternoon, Sports Mole looks at how Mauricio Pochettino's side could line up in North London.

Four days on from their historic Champions League triumph over Ajax, Tottenham Hotspur switch focus back to the Premier League as they face Everton in their final game of the domestic season.

Spurs produced one of the most famous results in their history by overcoming the Dutch giants 3-3 on away goals, scoring all three of their goals in the second half of the second leg in Amsterdam to set up a showdown with Liverpool on June 1.

The Lilywhites are all but assured of a top-four finish in the Premier League, too, as they sit three points better off than fifth-placed Arsenal and have an eight-goal advantage on their North London rivals.

Ahead of the visit of Everton to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Sports Mole looks at how Mauricio Pochettino may set out his side.

TOTXI VS. EVE

Out: Harry Kane (ankle), Harry Winks (groin), Davinson Sanchez (thigh), Jan Vertonghen (ankle), Juan Foyth (suspended), Son Heung-min (suspended)
Doubtful: Victor Wanyama (thigh), Danny Rose (hamstring), Serge Aurier (hamstring)

Pochettino will be without suspended duo Foyth and Son for Sunday's match after the pair were sent off against Bournemouth last weekend.

In the absence of Son up top, the hosts are expected to recall Fernando Llorente to lead the line in what could be his final home game for the club.

Winks is also still on the sidelines with a groin injury, while central-defensive duo Vertonghen and Sanchez are also ruled out, so Eric Dier may have to shuffle into the backline alongside Toby Alderweireld.

Ben Davies is another candidate to fill in at centre-back, though Pochettino is more likely to use him at left-back as Rose is not fully fit.

On the opposite flank, meanwhile, Kyle Walker-Peters is in contention to start after playing the full 90 minutes at the Vitality Stadium.
