Valencia coach Miroslav Djukic has dashed Tottenham Hotspur's hopes by claiming that Roberto Saldado will not be leaving the club this summer.
Spurs have been linked with a move for the Spanish striker for some time, with Atletico Madrid also said to be keen on the player.
However, Djukic has said that Soldado will not be leaving Mestalla this summer.
"Soldado is very important to us and I want him to lead this team," Djukic told reporters.
"I think Roberto is going to stay with us. I am very calm about that. We have a good squad in place, but there is still some room to grow."
Soldado scored 24 goals for Los Che last season.
