Alessandro del Piero unsure of future plans

Former Italian international Alessandro del Piero insists that he is not thinking about retirement.

Former Italian international Alessandro del Piero has admitted that he is unsure whether he will move into management when he finishes his playing career.

The 38-year-old, who scored 14 goals for Australian side Sydney FC last season, has been tipped for a career in coaching when he hangs up his boots.

"Last year was an amazing experience in Australia, I'm very happy with Sydney and for now I'm not thinking about my future," he told Eurosport Italia.

"I just want to play football. Could I see myself being a football manager? I just don't know.

"In my career I've tried to learn from all my managers, obviously with Marcello [Lippi] I've a special relationship because we won together with Juve and Italy."

Del Piero won 97 international caps for Italy.
