West Ham United to hold Sam Allardyce contract talks at end of season

West Ham co-owner David Sullivan reveals that the club will speak with manager Sam Allardyce about a new contract at the end of the season.

West Ham United co-owner David Sullivan has confirmed that the club will hold contract talks with manager Sam Allardyce at the end of the season.

Allardyce's job was thought to be on the line during a disappointing campaign at Upton Park last term, but he has guided the Hammers up to fifth place in the table this year.

Sullivan is now hopeful of sitting down with the 60-year-old to discuss an extension to his current deal.

"We will sit down with the end of the season Sam and see how he feels about everything, see how he feels, and then we'll see what we do," he told Sky Sports News.

"In all probability Sam will be the manager [when the club moves to the Olympic Stadium in 2016]. But who knows? He might be manager of Manchester United or England. In football anything can happen."

Allardyce joined West Ham in 2011 after spending nearly three years at Blackburn Rovers.
