Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Richard Stearman has revealed that he would be "honoured" to receive an international call-up for Republic of Ireland.
Stearman was born in the West Midlands but qualifies for Ireland through a grandparent, and the Championship player has admitted that he would be delighted if he were given an opportunity by boss Martin O'Neill.
The 27-year-old told the Express & Star: "I'd love to be considered by Ireland because if I'm in their thoughts, it means I'm continuing to play well for Wolves.
"My sole focus is Wolves but if and when that call comes, then I'd be very honoured to do that and pull on the green jersey."
Stearman made 45 appearances in all competitions for Wolves this season.
