Lotus team principal Eric Boullier hopeful of Kimi Raikkonen stay

Lotus team principal Eric Boullier believes that driver Kimi Raikkonen should stay with the team for the 2014 season.

Lotus team principal Eric Boullier believes that driver Kimi Raikkonen will make the right decision if he stays with the team.

The 33-year-old has been linked with a return to Ferrari, but Boullier has insisted that Lotus have given Raikkonen all the assurances that he can progress with the team.

"The decision rests more with him because he has an offer from us," BBC Sport quotes Boullier as saying.

"Kimi is in a position where he is being chased by most of the paddock and he will decide, but he knows what he gets with us and he doesn't know what he will get if he changes teams."

Raikkonen won the Drivers' Championship with Ferrari in 2007.
