This afternoon's British Grand Prix winner Nico Rosberg has conceded that he has some sympathy for his teammate Lewis Hamilton and the home supporters.
Hamilton had started the race on pole position but his chances of winning were ended on lap eight when he suffered a puncture.
That handed the initiative to Sebastian Vettel, but when he was hampered by a gearbox problem late on, Rosberg took full advantage to go on and take the chequered flag.
"With Lewis, I feel sorry for all the British fans," said the race winner. "It would have been great for Lewis. It's always a massive disappointment but that's racing.
"Sebastian stopped, I won't lie, I wasn't disappointed by that one. From then on, it was just a great race from then."
The victory was Rosberg's second in his last three races.
