Lewis Hamilton has said that his Formula 1 championship hopes are over for the 2013 season, having finished ninth in today's Italian Grand Prix.
The Mercedes driver sits 81 points behind leader Sebastian Vettel, who won today's Monza contest.
The 2008 champion, who had a faulty radio throughout the race, told Sky Sports News: "Obviously that's that for the championship.
"[Not having radio] almost blinds you. You don't know what's happening in the race, you don't know when to stop, even spotting the pitboard is confusing because there are so many pitboards, and you don't know when to push and when not to push. It just meant it was much more than me, but I managed."
Hamilton sits third in the drivers' rankings.
